Optimum Technology has an immediate opening for a Quality Assurance Analyst – to join an existing team building enterprise-class, highly secure web/windows applications.
The Senior Quality Assurance Analyst’s role is to develop and establish quality assurance standards and measures for the information technology services within the organization. This individual will also gather and analyze data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements. This will include writing test plans and scripts for tracking defects and fixes in product development, software application development, information systems, and operations systems. The QA Analyst will apply proven analytical and problem-solving skills to help validate IT processes through careful testing in order to maximize the benefit of business investments in IT initiatives.
At least 6 years of experience as a QA Analyst (in IT or a related business function).
At least 3 years of testing software in a .NET/SQL/Web Apps environment.
Minimum 5 years of experience in manual testing at all levels - Integration Testing, System Testing, Regression Testing, and User Acceptance Testing.
Skilled in writing SQL Queries.
Expert in analyzing the requirements and identifying the test scenarios and test cases.
Proficient in developing Test strategy, Test Plans, Test Design, Test Coverage Metrics.
High level of experience using Quality Center for test planning, execution and defect management
Adept at Functional Testing, GUI Testing, Automation Testing, Compatibility Testing and Acceptance Testing.
Experience using Visual Studio Team System (VSTS) for Automation Testing.
Complete verbal and written command of the English language.
Proven ability to write test cases that are thorough, detailed and grammatically correct.
Exceptionally strong attention to detail
Strong proven capacity to function objectively, independently, and to employ “out of the box” thinking as it relates to developing test cases and performing ad-hoc testing.
