Optimum Technology Wins Product of the Year Award
COLUMBUS, Ohio [Jan. 22, 2004]
Optimum Technology, Inc.’s Integrated Justice Information System (IJIS) was awarded the Outstanding Product or Service of the Year last night during the annual Columbus Technology Council TopCAT (Contributors to the Advancement of Technology) awards ceremony.
Optimum Technology’s Integrated Justice Information System (IJIS) framework provides a solid foundation for electronic information sharing both within and between justice agencies. The system is used to improve both public and officer safety by providing low-cost access to shared information about crime and criminals, to support collaborative investigation, and to improve overall efficiencies in the justice process by automating inter-agency information exchanges.
Seventeen finalists were selected from among over forty nominations for the prestigious award that recognizes the best use of technology in a new product or service introduced after January 1, 2000. Optimum Technology’s IJIS was judged superior in its uniqueness, business impact, societal impact, usefulness, practicality and benefit to humankind.
The Columbus Technology Council (CTC) is a membership led, non-profit organization of technology-based companies in the central Ohio region. This marks the eighth year the organization has recognized the leading Contributors to the Advancement of Technology with TopCAT awards.
