Position Description:
Quality Assurance Analyst
Optimum Technology, Inc. is seeking an application for alien employment certification for the position of Quality Assurance Analyst in its Columbus, Ohio offices. The following is a description of the position duties:
Performs all Quality Assurance Activities including Quality Planning and Quality Control. Evaluates the Software Product to confirm that the functionalities are as per the Requirements Document and prepares the “Requirement Traceability Matrix Report”. Prepares the Software Development Plan incorporating the entire Software Development Life Cycle. Reviews Software Code developed in programming languages C, C++, Visual Basic, Power Builder, Java, J2EE etc., to confirm if the programmers have followed the “Coding Standards” as per the Industry norms. A review report is prepared and submitted to the Project Manager. Prepares the Test Plan (including the testing procedures), test cases and test data. Executes the test cases with the help of software testing tools including Win Runner and Load Runner. Performs all types of tests including Unit Test, Integration Test and System Test. Updates the test results in the Test Plan and logs all the software defects in the “Defect Portal” developed with ASP as the front end and Oracle as the back end. Constantly updates the “Quality System Portal” with ISO Procedures. Ensures that the processes followed in Software development confine with the process areas defined in CMMI Model. Prepares the Data Base Scripts using VB Script and Active X to generate various statistical quality control reports. Defines and introduces Change Control Procedures. Conducts regular training sessions on the Quality Standards and Quality Assurance activities.
Minimum Educational Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree Computer Science, Statistics or Mathematics or equivalent.
Required Experience
Five years experience in the offered position or as a Programmer Analyst, or Computer Systems Analyst
Other Requirements
** Five years experience in:
- C,C++, Visual Basic, Power Builder, Active Server Pages (“ASP”), VB Script, Java, J2EE, Active X; and Oracle
- Software Testing Tools including Win Runner, Load Runner
- Implementation of International Standards Organization (“ISO”) standards and Level V certification in Capability Maturity Model Integration (“CMMI”).
** Years of experience herein are inclusive in the 5 years experience.
Working Conditions
40 hrs/wk., 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
